Site Survey & Needs Analysis
Room measurements, acoustic conditions, power, cable routes, and user interviews to map out real requirements — not assumptions.
GVM designs your audio visual system architecture before a single rupiah is spent on equipment — from needs analysis and acoustic and sightline calculations to a full design package and cost estimate ready for tender.
An AV consultant designs the audio visual system for a space — defining what is needed, why it is needed, and what it will cost — before procurement and installation begin.
An AV consultant is not an equipment seller. The consultant works from your requirements: how many people use the room, what its acoustics are like, which conferencing platform your organisation has standardised on, and how the space is operated day to day. Only then is the equipment specification written — not the other way around.
GVM has performed this role since 2019 for corporate meeting rooms, government auditoriums, hotel ballrooms, and control rooms. The outcome is a single design package you can take to open tender — even if GVM is not the party that ultimately builds it.
Six areas of work that together form a complete, auditable audio visual system design package.
Room measurements, acoustic conditions, power, cable routes, and user interviews to map out real requirements — not assumptions.
Sound coverage, background noise levels, reverberation time, and screen viewing angles calculated so every seat gets an equivalent experience.
Complete diagrams of audio, video, control, and network paths — including AV over IP topology, VLAN segmentation, and bandwidth requirements.
A brand-neutral or "or equivalent" equipment schedule with technical justification and a defensible cost estimate.
Device layouts, single line diagrams, rack elevations, and terms of reference ready for your procurement process.
Technical assessment of vendor bids so you compare like with like, rather than simply picking the lowest price.
Four stages from the first meeting to handover of the design package.
We listen first: how the space will be used, how many people, your internal standards, and your budget target.
Our engineers visit the site to measure dimensions, acoustics, electrical provision, and network infrastructure readiness.
The design concept, signal flow, and specifications are developed, then presented for review together with your team.
The design is finalised after your feedback and handed over complete with cost estimate and tender documents.
More than 100 AV & IT projects throughout Indonesia — from corporate meeting rooms to government auditoriums.
Specifications are driven by what the room needs, not by stock we happen to want to move.
A team certified in Q-SYS, iSEMC Professional Engineer, and NAV Pro for IP-based AV systems.
Our designs come out of 100+ projects that were actually built, so they are realistic to execute.
Document formats follow the requirements of corporate and government procurement.
An AV consultant designs the system: analysing requirements, calculating acoustics, producing signal flow schematics, equipment specifications, and cost estimates. A system integrator then turns that design into a working system — procurement, device integration, control programming, and commissioning. GVM does both, but consulting can also be engaged on its own if you want a genuinely open tender process.
Yes. Many corporate and government clients engage GVM purely as design consultant and then tender the implementation openly. The design documents, specifications, and cost estimates we hand over are written brand-neutral so any vendor can bid against them.
For a single meeting room, typically 1–2 weeks from the site survey. Multi-room projects such as a head office or campus take 3–6 weeks, while auditoriums and control rooms with specialised acoustic requirements can take 6–8 weeks. The final duration also depends on how quickly your team reviews each stage.
Consulting fees are based on scope and the number of rooms, typically ranging from 5–10% of the equipment investment value. Where GVM is also entrusted with implementation, the consulting fee can be credited back into the contract value. We issue a written quotation once the scope is clear.
Yes. Our office is in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, but our survey team serves all of Indonesia — including Surabaya, Bandung, Bali, Medan, and other major cities. Survey travel costs are listed separately and transparently in the quotation.
Tell us about your space and requirements — GVM’s consulting team will outline a design approach and cost estimate.
